The Cape Cod Rail Trail is patrolled! Please follow these rules of the road and enjoy a safe ride.

• Wear protective headgear. All bicycle riders 16 and under are required by state law to wear bike helmets.

• Stay to the right in single file.

• Alert others if you are going to pass.

• Dismount bikes when crossing roadways.

• Be responsible for your children. They should be aware of the rules. Know where they are!

• Be aware of potential hazards such as litter, pot holes, gravel and storm grates.

• Be visible! Wear bright clothing and reflectors.

• No children under age 1 may ride in a baby seat.

• Please keep the Rail Trail free of litter.

• Barb's Bike Shop's office in Nickerson State Park is in the Commonwealth Parklands under the control of the Dept. of Conservation and Recreation.
